Alan Dale Botifoll
An artist born with innate artistic abilities, and is self-taught. For the last two decades his focus is on experimenting with many methodologies in applying paint to canvas. His paintings are created by such techniques as splattering, dribbling, scraping and applying a squeegee to layered textured surfaces of dry or wet paint. These are only some of the many approach’s that he uses to accomplish unique paintings rich in colors and vibrant patterns. The results will activate the viewers pattern recognition to see volumes of imagery that will speak for a long time.
His paintings are being exhibited through out the Triangle area. The Durham Arts Council recognized Alan as one of the most upcoming artist. In the year 2000 he was selected and awarded a solo exhibit at the Siemens Gallery, as well as a group exhibit at the Allenton Gallery at the Royal Art Center of Durham.
Alan will continue his quest to be The leading edge of a New Vanguard of Art expressions.
