Celine Meador: Island Girls Show
Acrylic Painting, Watercolor, Impressionist Photography
An Alabama gulf coast native, Celine Meador began her writing and photography career as a reporter for a Florida daily newspaper where she developed a love not only for taking pictures, but the creative magic of darkroom work. As a photojournalist, and later a corporate communications director, she received many professional awards including Who’s Who Among American Women.
In time she followed her dreams to the Cayman Islands to be a magazine photographer, but soon began an entirely new career as a managing partner of a well known scuba diving resort catering to underwater photographers. Fascinated with the beauty and brilliant color of the underwater, Celine logged hundreds of Caribbean dives with her Nikonos Camera in hand and founded a publishing company reproducing fine paintings of underwater and other tropical subjects. A prolific painter, photographer and writer, she brings together much of what she enjoys into her work.
Celine Meador has spent much of her life on the sea. Her acryllic and water color paintings reflect the palette of sun and sea and sky. Even when she focuses on other subjects, Celine's paintings almost always include some aspect of the sea she loves. Her very favorites are large canvases that sometimes simply show the sea itself.

Celine also authors a line of poetic prints and greeting cards whicn may be found in many fine gift shops and soon on this site.
