3 Birds Marketing is proud to present a Holiday Handmade Market during December’s 2nd Friday Art Walk. Featuring handcrafted works ranging from screen printed posters to furniture, these gifted local artisans are making gift-giving easy by creating one-of-a-kind works that are sure to be loved by friends and family. The market is set to open at 6:00 PM and will run until 9:00 PM, so come in and find that perfect gift for everyone left on your shopping list. Here’s a preview of our headlining artists:

Simply Pallets – With the use of reclaimed materials (notably wooden pallets), Simply Pallets creates unique art pieces, furniture, and gifts. From paintings utilizing solely wood stains for color to wine racks made from a vintage ironing board, the dynamic duo behind Simply Pallets (Matt and Alyssa) are never short on ideas. They accept custom orders as well! Get a preview of their work on their Facebook page: facebook.com/SimplyPalletsNC

Plastic Flame Press – If you’ve taken a stroll down Franklin Street, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen Chris William’s work in the form of show posters tacked to the posting boards highlighting upcoming shows at Cat’s Cradle. Translating hand drawn works into silkscreened pieces for the world to enjoy is his specialty. His distinctive style has helped promote such bands as Against Me!, Mandolin Orange, Phantogram and more. He’s bringing with him a back catalog of posters that will be perfect for the music lover this holiday season. Learn more at PlasticFlame.com.

Matthew Szymanski – Matthew’s work was featured in 3 Birds’ first Art Walk show. He returns with a mix of paintings and small art pieces. He’s even been known to create one-of-a-kind wearable art with custom shoes. His desire to participate in our Holiday Handmade Market was driven by the desire to spread great local art through gifting. In order to do so, he’s focused on creating several pieces at a variety of price points to ensure that art for gift-giving is accessible to everyone this holiday season. www.MatthewSzymanski.com

Brian “Doc” Reed – Also known as “Reedicus” has been designing and illustrating for over 12 years and resides in the port city of Wilmington, NC. A regular contributor to Posterscotch, Doc captures the energy and spirit of bands on limited edition silkscreened gig and event posters. Also specializing in logo and identity graphics, he has a knack for creating unique designs perfectly paired to the subject that he is representing. See more of his work at IamReedicus.com
