Colin Javel and Jonathan Davis have been close friends since elementary school and have inspired each other ever since. Born just one day apart, both followed careers in art, with Jonathan studying glass sculpture and Colin studying design and illustration. Colin’s work has been compared to that of Maurice Sendak, and Jonathan’s work has been likened to that of Dr. Seuss. Their work can be described as unique, creative, and whimsical. Their playful, lighthearted personalities can be seen in their similarities of style, subject matter and color scheme. This is Colin’s and Jonathan’s first joint show.
Opening Reception: Friday, October 14th, 6-8pm in the Nicholson Gallery and will be held in conjunction with the 2nd Friday ArtWalk. The exhibit will be on display October 1-31.
