Papercraft demo at Womancraft with Tallulah Hill

Tallulah Hill of Tall Hill Upcycled is excited to share her latest projects at Womancraft Gifts: paper roses and paper cakes. She will be demonstrating her process during the Second Friday Artwalk on June 10 from 6 to 9 p.m..

Fashioned from vintage books, these paper crafts are exquisitely unique and elegant. Becoming lasting keepsakes,  handcrafted book art commemorates your most special occasions while celebrating your inner book lover.

Each flower is meticulously created with seven sizes of hand-cut petals plus leaves shaped by hand and individually glued before the stems are wrapped with floral tape. The title of the book used for each flower is found on the leaves, with this months theme being Jane Austen.

There are 35 flowers adorning the three tiered dictionary wedding cake standing nearly three feet tall. The breathtaking project took 24 hours and more than a thousand folds to complete.
