All About the Brain!

  • Ackland Art Museum 101 South Columbia Street Chapel Hill, NC, 27514 United States (map)

Come to the Ackland Art Museum for an evening all about the brain!

Explore the exhibition 'The Beautiful Brain: The Drawings of Santiago Ramon y Cajal' until 9 PM, and drop by these two brainy programs:

6:30 PM:
Join us for a gallery talk led by UNC neuroscientists talking about their images featured in the Ackland's new exhibition, 'The Beautiful Brain.' Learn how they produced these images, find out about the importance of imaging in neuroscience today, and find out how these artist-scientists see the connections between science and art.

7:30 PM:
Ask a UNC neuroscientist! Curious about how your brain works? Wondering about the nature of consciousness? Want to know more about artist-scientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal? Bring your burning neuroscience-related questions to the Ackland for a chance to Ask a Neuroscientist!

The Beautiful Brain: The Drawings of Santiago Ramón y Cajal was organized by the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota with the Cajal Institute, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Madrid, Spain.
